Position Description

Position Purpose:
* Leads specific Transformation Management Office identified Transformational initiatives
* Directly and through others, ensures competent execution of key Transformational initiatives by demonstrating strong program leadership and oversight
* Ensures consistent, efficient communication and reporting on Transformational initiatives to executive management & key stakeholders
* Ensures RBC Bank Transformation Management governance alignment with RBC Project Management Framework (PMF) and RBC Large Program Management (LPgMF) methodologies
* Efficiently performs responsibilities and demonstrates professional behaviors consistent with a senior level employee of RBC Bank

Key Accountabilities:
* Lead Transformational Initiative project teams to successful completion of committed deliverables.
* Assess and recommends synergies, gaps, and opportunities within the transformation initiative, individual business unit(s)/companies.
* Leads, mentors and trains Business Unit Project Managers, serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) throughout the PMF process and project life cycle
* Provide tactical support for transformation initiatives, including:
o Facilitation of meetings among stakeholders to set and manage priorities;
o Management of critical project interdependencies;
o Development of metrics and detailed reporting ensuring ability to map synergies back to PAR / Business Case;
o Integration of tasks, schedules and budgets;
* Support annual/ongoing prioritization process for Transformation Management
* Trains Business Unit Project Managers, serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) throughout the PMF process and project life cycle
* Facilitates the ongoing tracking and monitoring of integration initiatives and the achievement of financial objectives as defined in various PARs/Business Cases and operating plans

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
* BA/BS or Two year in technical discipline with minimum of fifteen (15) years of program/ project management experience with highly complex projects
* Experience managing programs and projects in the $25 - 200 million range
* PMP designation

**PgMP designation highly desired.**

* Proven and successful experience as a Program/Project Manager
* Exceptional organization and program management skills
* Proven and successful leadership and negotiating skills
* Strong communication and facilitating skills
* Proven collaboration, internal relationship management and teamwork approaches
* Strong knowledge of Project Management Framework (PMF)
* Strong knowledge of Large Program Management Framework (LPgMF)
* Fully proficient with MS suite of tools (i.e. Excel, Word, Visio, MS project, PowerPoint)
* Creative problem solving and attention to detail
* Ability to adapt and respond to quickly changing priorities
* Organizational awareness with strong knowledge of Global Technologies and Operations
