Description and Requirements

Lenovo Corporate Strategic Alliances is seeking an experienced relationship leader to support and execute our Google Products, Cloud & Ecosystems alliance strategy with our existing partners. This role will be a critical member of the Corporate Strategic Alliances organization working across Intelligent Devices Group's (IDG), Infrastructure Solutions Group's (ISG), & Solutions & Services Group (SSG) business units and geographies. Strong candidates will have broad and deep knowledge of the Google products, cloud & ecosystem, and the ability to identify and develop strategic opportunities of mutual interest to Lenovo and existing partners. The candidate will support the IDG, ISG & SSG executive teams in many areas and functions to maintain successful partner relationships, engagements, and be a trusted advocate. The Director will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of Corporate Strategic Alliance's Google Products, Cloud & Ecosystems partnerships, and programs for the IDG, ISG & SSG business units. It will require a candidate with strong executive presence, comfortable making executive-level presentations, ability to translate contract language to business processes, navigating complex and complicated situations, working through challenges, and positively influencing senior decision makers.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute the Corp. Strategic Alliances plan to support our Google Products & Ecosystems business.
  • Analyzing strategies of partners and Lenovo, developing strategic opportunities in areas of overlapping interest, agreeing on initiatives, defining success metrics, executing, and reporting results to executive stakeholders.
  • Serve as the consultative business strategist and partnership leader, internally and alliance partners, e.g., be the trusted single-point-of-contact.
  • Participate and/or lead in contract negotiation and the coordination of internal stakeholder alignment and adoption.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders and other senior leaders to develop and continually refine the major strategic engagements that guide Lenovo's digital transformation.
  • Participate and/or lead in partnership business planning, co-design service development, GTM planning and support to increase the strength of the joint offers and services.
  • Hosting business reviews between Lenovo and partners to evaluate performance and explore new strategic opportunities.
  • Lead and execute successful transactions including deal negotiation, structuring, due diligence, financial modeling, and business integration.
  • Cultivate and expand strong business relationships with Lenovo's alliance partners and other industry leaders, with emphasis on the service, cloud, and software industries.
  • Evangelizing solutions vision and strategy inside and outside of Lenovo.

Position Requirements:

Basic:

  • 15+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 8+ years' experience in Partnership Management, Alliance Management, Business Development and/or Technology Leadership.
  • Professional experience with Google products.
  • Ability to travel ~30% of time.


Preferred:

  • Polished leader with proven strategy development skills and dynamic abilities to execute those strategies.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated team building, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple complex sales engagements.
  • Ability to build relationships among managers, partners, and employees, to engage peers and extended team.
  • Proven experience in successful deal origination, structuring, and strategic execution.
  • Able to operate in a highly strategic and visionary role while also executing on day-to-day requirements.
  • Proven success developing strong relationships and influencing without authority.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication with a C-level audience.
  • Agile, adaptable, and able to thrive under pressure in an innovative, fast-paced, environment marked by continual change.
  • High aptitude to learn quickly, with ability to navigate situations involving ambiguity and limited precedent.

This position will be based out of our Morrisville, NC office. We are currently working hybrid, 3 days on site, 2 days work from home.
