STS Technical Services is hiring an Aircraft Assembly Technicianin Greensboro, North Carolina.

Job Description:

The Aircraft Assembly Technician performs complex assembly, fitting of detail parts, and installation within various manufacturing processes, ensuring high productivity rates and adherence to specifications. This role requires expertise in areas such as sealant application, fastening, electric harnessing, and hydraulics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute complex assembly tasks, fitting detail parts and structures, and conducting installations across diverse drilling and riveting operations with minimal supervision.
  • Complete routine and build tasks with 100% accuracy within predefined timeframes as defined by management.
  • Undertake frequent special assignments and complex repairs, offering recommendations for solutions to sophisticated problems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in different functional areas to resolve issues, contribute to NH Circle projects, and establish best practices.
  • Actively participate in mentoring programs and train others in task performance.
  • Keep supervisors informed of task/assignment status, issues, and delays.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to the company's 5S program, and assist in directing others in workspace maintenance.
  • Participate in and complete HACI certification eligibility requirements for internal aircraft process specifications, meeting recurrent training obligations.
Education, Experience, Certification and/or Licensure:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform assigned tasks.
  • A&P and/or other related licensure highly desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in arithmetic, use of instruments, and interpretation of blueprints.
  • Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and process specifications to follow planned operations sequence.
  • Capacity to work safely and attentively in a constant state of alertness.
  • Advanced understanding of aircraft systems or components function.
  • Experience in direct customer interactions.
  • Strong teamwork ethic and work ethics.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work overtime, be on call, or travel nationally/internationally as requested by management.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of SAP and beginner level TCM.
  • Travel credential restriction-free.
Physical Requirements:
  • Exposure to operational noise, heat, cold, dust, and aircraft-related odors.
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged periods as required.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements and safety instructions.
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions.
  • Ability to comprehend and adhere to management directions and safety instructions.
  • Effective communication in Business English language.
  • Ability to lift items up to 10 lbs. without assistance and up to 50 lbs. or more with the use of assistive technology.
  • Full range of motion and agility required.
