Job Description
Job Overview

Control the timely delivery of the components and raw materials used for the production of our products in a timely manner. Ensuring that it is in the right quantity, price and quality with the support of support systems and equipment, such as commodity manager, SQE, product engineering, etc. Maintain close and open communication with the different departments with the aim of giving the best service according to the needs of the business and our customers. Collaborate with the product engineering department in the development of new parts for prototypes and new businesses.

A Day In The Life
  • Manage existing material inventory levels, using SAP parameters or minimums, and maximize business security supplies.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Production Supervisors, Distribution, Planning, Internal/External Customers, Product Engineering, etc. to ensure that components and raw materials are in time and form.
  • Follow up on back orders of manufactured and procured materials, expedite delivery of orders, make special arrangements for delivery as needed, and communicate to the respective departments the expected delivery dates and potential shortages.
  • Work with vendor and/or Hubbell Accounting to reconcile PO discrepancies.
  • Promote and maintain good business relationships with suppliers.
  • Recommend procedures to improve quality and reduce costs, as well as keep informed of new developments in related commodities. Share updates with the Materials department.
  • Managing the SAP System
  • Implement consignment, inventory management, etc. programs according to business needs.

Skills

  • SAP experience and at least 3 years Supply Chain experience in Purchasing

Education

  • Associate degree and/or relevant experience
