To support that challenge, Syngenta’s Commercial Marketing Team is currently seeking a Seedcare Technical Product Lead in Greensboro, NC

As the Seedcare Technical Product Lead, you will thoroughly profile active ingredients and brands for utility and competitive advantages. You will provide product training and/or materials for training to internal/external customers as well as support Product Marketing by designing brands that have technical integrity in performance, positioning and sustainability. In this role, you will set priorities for active ingredient and product development and manage a development budget and projects for timely delivery. You will partner with Commercial Product Leads to ensure effective implementation of Seedcare product strategies. In this highly visible role, you will work closely to support the Commercial Unit (CU) campaign teams and provide technical leadership in the development of cross-functional processes and systems that will deliver strong brands.

Accountabilities
  • Technically steward products across life cycle
  • Interface with other technical groups (Product Biology, Crop Protection Development, SPS, Technical Services)
  • Develop protocols and scientific studies for thorough profiling of brands (including resistance management), product segmentation, and competitive comparisons
  • Develop training materials (with TDLs) for internal/external customers
  • Interface with Global to exchange technical info and strategies
  • Ensure all brand strategies, business cases, positioning, claims, labels, and communications are supported by good science
  • Communicate brand objectives across relevant stakeholders (Product Biology, Crop Protection Development and Technical Services)

Qualifications
 
  • A minimum of a M.S. degree in Agronomy with at least 5 of years of experience in product development or related experience (Ph.D. degree is highly desirable)
  • Knowledge in plant pathology or entomology
  • Knowledge and/or experience in agronomics/plant sciences
  • Knowledge of product development process, protocol writing, information systems, and regulatory requirements
Preferred Requirements
  • Understanding of core agronomic factors in key field crops, including corn, cotton, rice, peanuts, sorghum and vegetables
  • Knowledge of product strategies development and implementation
